From January 30 through April 4, 2008, we celebrate the Season of Compassionate Action,
although being compassionate does not require a season to practice it, you can be it everyday.
This is in affiliation with the Association of Global New Thought and the Season of Peace and Nonviolence.
The season begins with the 60th Memorial Anniversary of the death of Mahatma Gandhi
and the end marks the 40th Memorial Anniversary of the death of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Each of these men stood for nonviolent action to achieve change.
Throughout this year we have the opportunity to come from compassion to bring about change.
The King and the Gandhi familes came together many years ago and
asked what can be done to
achieve peace in the world right now. The season evolved from those first ideas.
Please use the tools below for everyday of your life - being compassionate works!
